Role purpose

The Administrative Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the Student Placement Team by performing a variety of administrative tasks that ensure the efficiency and accuracy of the team's operations. The position is essential to maintaining organised documentation, assisting with student application processes, and providing support for internal and external events. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key accountabilities

  • Assist the Student Placement Team/Counsellors with processing and finalising students’ applications.
  • Ensure all student documentation, reports, and files are accurately maintained and up to date.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to keep all documents and records within the Student Placement Team organized and current.
  • Support the planning and execution of Student Placement Team events and education fairs.
  • Manage and organize brochures and promotional materials from universities/institutions for use by counsellors.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks and duties as assigned by the Head - AU/NZ & SP Operations and the Student Placement Manager – UK/CA/IE.

Required experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team-based environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in the education or student services sector.
  • Familiarity with student application or education management systems (e.g., CRM tools, student information systems).
  • Experience coordinating events or supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of higher education institutions, particularly in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Canada, or Ireland
