Role purpose

The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships and ensuring the successful delivery and optimisation of digital marketing campaigns. Acting as the key liaison between clients and internal delivery teams, the role focuses on understanding client objectives, translating them into effective digital marketing strategies, and driving measurable performance outcomes.

This role combines client relationship management, strategic planning, campaign oversight, performance analysis, and project coordination to ensure campaigns achieve client goals while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and business growth.

Key accountabilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building strong relationships and maintaining a clear understanding of client objectives and expectations.

  • Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to develop and recommend effective digital marketing strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Collaborate with internal channel specialists to ensure campaigns are executed effectively and optimised to meet agreed KPIs and performance targets.

  • Analyse campaign performance using analytics and reporting tools, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations for clients.

  • Provide regular performance updates and strategic insights through reports, presentations, and ongoing communication with clients.

  • Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and coordination across internal teams to ensure smooth execution and high levels of client satisfaction

Required experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role within a digital marketing or marketing services environment.

  • Strong understanding of digital performance marketing channels such as Paid Search, Display, and Social Media.

  • Experience working with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.

  • Ability to analyse marketing data and derive actionable insights using analytics tools.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate data and performance metrics clearly to clients.

Desirable

  • Exposure to or hands-on experience in digital campaign delivery or campaign management.

  • Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio.

  • Familiarity with marketing attribution models and customer journey analytics.

  • Experience in the higher education or international education sector.

  • Experience working in a global or multicultural organisation
