Role purpose

In this role you will be collaborating with IDP’s Data Engineering and Governance, an enterprise capability team and be responsible for: -

• Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
• Evaluating existing data systems.
• Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
• Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
• Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
• Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
• Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
• Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.
• Work with Product owners, Data Scientist, Data Engineers, Data Analyst, Software developers incl. Architects to efficiently build data models inline IDP’s data vision.
• Prepare and maintain training material and SOPs, knowledge base articles and technical documentation.

Required experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Statistics
• 8–12 years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in data modeling or data architecture roles
• Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
• Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Able to effectively present information, gain feedback and respond to questions from groups of senior leaders, stakeholders, and customers.
• Comfortable with working with multiple stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment
• Any Data Modelling certification is desirable.
