Role purpose

As the PX Specialist, you'll be the go-to person for all People Experience (PX) related matters in the Australasia region, ensuring our team members have an exceptional experience throughout their journey at IDP. You’ll provide outstanding support to our leaders and broader team, making their lives easier.

From answering inquiries to organising cultural events, driving wellbeing programs, and contributing to attracting and retaining top talent, you'll play a key role in creating a positive, high-performance environment. Your contributions will help streamline operations, enhance engagement, and support a seamless, inclusive work culture that everyone can thrive in.

This is a Permanent opportunity based out of our Digital Campus, Chennai. You will be working side by side with global teams and senior stakeholders across Australasia. You grow your skills as you create memorable experiences for our people.

 

Required experience

  • 5+ years of experience in an HR/PX generalist role, with a broad understanding of people operations.
  • Experience working across the APAC region, with cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage with a variety of stakeholders effectively.
  • A genuine love for people and passion for making their work experience the best it can be.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
  • A strong sense of autonomy, knowing when to take charge and when to escalate for support.
  • Willingness to work early shifts to accommodate the Australasia time and take advantage of flexibility on offer  

Intermediate design skills with Canva/Adobe to enhance communication and increase engagement.

Key accountabilities

esponsibilities include: answering employee queries about policies and processes; celebrating milestones; and supporting cultural programs and events. In talent acquisition, the role manages candidate experience, assists with recruitment processes like scheduling and assessments, and facilitates onboarding. HR systems and compliance duties involve maintaining employee records in SuccessFactors, tracking visa and contract expirations, developing policy guides, and ensuring compliance tasks are completed. Administrative support includes general administrative tasks and collaboration with the PX Shared Service team. Wellbeing and workplace health and safety (WHS) responsibilities involve maintaining first aid and fire warden lists, supporting safety training, and ensuring WHS compliance and communication. Finally, the role provides payroll support by partnering with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing and resolving discrepancies.
