Role purpose
Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining general ledgers, managing AP and AR processes, preparing monthly payments, GUI and withholding tax filings, treasury activities, assisting with audit preparations, and fixed asset inventory management.
The role will also supervise and mentor a Finance Accountant, ensuring accurate financial operations, providing guidance on accounting standards and internal policies, and supporting the development of the finance function.
To be successful in this role, the Senior Finance Accountant should have a solid working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, strong analytical and Excel skills, and the ability to coach team members while maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibility
Accounting -
- Handle all accounting daily transactions including AP, AR, GL
- Manage monthly billing, credit note, cash flow, cash collection,
- Perform month-end closing process, financial reports, reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Prepare business tax, withholding tax.
- Perform other accounting duties and supporting other staffs as required or assigned.
- Ensure compliance with Global Policies and IFRS.
- Provide technical support and advice on accounting treatments.
- Review accounting entries and reconciliations prepared by the Finance Accountant.
- Support any other ad hoc activities when required.
People Leader -
- Supervise and provide day-to-day guidance to the Finance Accountant.
- Review accounting work to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to develop technical accounting capability within the finance team.
- Support knowledge sharing on accounting standards, financial processes, and internal controls.
- Monitor workload and ensure timely completion of accounting activities and month-end close.
- Identify development opportunities and provide constructive feedback to support employee growth.
Required experience
- Min. bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of tax laws, GAAP, and IFRS
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated experience supervising or mentoring junior finance staff.
- Ability to coach, develop, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Ability to review and validate financial work with a high level of accuracy.
