Role purpose

Deputy Manager – Finance will be working on Financial Accounting for the unit as well as having responsibility towards Compliances related to legal entity.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Transactions – Accounts Payable/ Journals etc – responsible for monthly closing of books on timely basis and accurately booking of transactions in ERP for both Local GAAP and Australia GAAP financials.
  • Month End closing / Finalisation – Responsible for key components of financial period closing and its associated closing entries in ERP. Preparation of P&L for Management accounting team for further review.
  • Preparation of details for Statutory Audit / Tax Audits including assisting in preparation of draft financials, audit schedules etc.

Key accountabilities

  • Accounting Transactions – Accounts Payable/ Journals etc – responsible for monthly closing of books on timely basis and accurately booking of transactions in ERP for both Local GAAP and Australia GAAP financials.
  • Month End closing / Finalisation – Responsible for key components of financial period closing and its associated closing entries in ERP. Preparation of P&L for Management accounting team for further review.
  • Ensuring compliance to internal controls and company’s policies around financial reporting.
  • Volume vs. Revenue reconciliation for all major stream of business including resolution in reco.
  • First level review over all compliance activities like TDS/ GST etc including review of supporting financial details and getting it signed off from Controller/ Senior Manager.
  • Supporting in the legal due diligence for setting up all the new offices as per the company policy.
  • Publishing various dashboards for Management including but not limited to (ageing report, old provisioning, revenue growth etc.)

Required experience

Qualification and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience if CA, 5-7 years’ experience if MBA Finance. Preferably working in Mid-sized MNC or Large local industry.

Technical Skills

  • Sound Knowledge of accounts processes and Accounting Standards and its application.
  • Expert knowledge of working on Excel.
  • Hands on experience of working on ERP like Oracle/ JD Edwards/ SAP / BAAN etc.
  • Handled Accounts Payable Process and General Ledger closing process- Month end processes.
  • Sound knowledge of Indian GST regulation.
