Role purpose
As a Data Management Analyst within IDP's Global Shared Services, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data crucial to operational decision-making. Your responsibilities will include maintaining data quality, developing reports, and supporting data governance initiatives that align with IDP's strategic objectives globally.
Working collaboratively with various stakeholders, including business units and technical teams, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of data management processes and tools. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will ensure that data supports business insights and compliance requirements, empowering IDP to maintain its competitive edge in international education services.

Key accountabilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data sets ensuring high levels of data quality, consistency, and adherence to established data governance policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, support reporting needs, and deliver actionable insights through analytics tools and dashboards.
- Identify data discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to enhance data accuracy and reliability.
- Support the design and implementation of automated data management solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, processing workflows, and quality control procedures to support transparency and audit readiness.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports to senior management, providing data-driven recommendations to inform strategic decisions.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, tools, and best practices in data management to continuously improve skills and contribute to innovation within the team.
Required experience
- Proven experience in data analysis, data management, or a related role, preferably within a global shared services environment or the education sector.
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation tools such as SQL, Excel, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to identifying and rectifying data inaccuracies.
- Experience working with data governance frameworks and understanding of data quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication skills to liaise across diverse teams and present findings in an accessible manner.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A relevant degree or professional certification in data management, information technology, statistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information aligned with organisational policies.
