Role purpose

IDP Vietnam is recruiting IELTS Examiners (part-time) nationwide.

The IELTS Examiner is responsible for delivering high-quality assessments of candidates' speaking skill in accordance with IELTS standards. This role involves conducting IELTS Speaking tests to ensure fairness, consistency, and accuracy. The Examiner also contributes to maintaining the integrity of the IELTS exam by adhering to strict security and confidentiality protocols. Additionally, the Examiner participates in ongoing professional development, standardization, and quality assurance activities to uphold the high standards expected by IDP Vietnam. 

Key accountabilities

1.IELTS Speaking Assessment

• Conduct IELTS Speaking tests, including second marking, according to the IELTS guidelines and criteria.
• Maintain consistency and fairness in the assessment of candidates' speaking skills.
• Ensure all interactions with candidates are professional, unbiased, and adhere to the test protocols.

2.Reporting

• Complete and submit all required documentation accurately and promptly
• Ensure the timely reporting of any issues encountered during the test process to the appropriate personnels

3.Quality assurance

• Participate in ongoing quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of assessment
• Act on feedback from IELTS Examiner Trainer and other relevant parties to continuously improve performance

4.IDP Vietnam Academic Activities

• Conduct speaking practice tests

5.Maintain the reputation and integrity of IELTS and IDP at all times

• Adhere to the IELTS Professional Support Network and IDP policies
• Strictly follow IELTS Code of Practice and Confidentiality Undertaking

Required experience

1.Essential requirements

• Current (or recent) IELTS examiner (preferable)
• Undergraduate or Master’s degree
• TEFL/TESOL Certificate (or equivalent EFL/ESOL qualification, or a degree in Education with English language focus)
• Minimum 3 years’ full-time TEFL/TESOL teaching experience (mainly with adults, 16+)
• Ability to provide validated, original qualifications and transcripts
• Availability on at least 02 half days at the weekend

2.Work Permit Eligibility

• Be able to provide official certification from international organizations demonstrating at least 2 years of experience in examining English proficiency tests (such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, TOEIC, etc.)

• Qualified for work permit exemption
