Role purpose
We are seeking a brilliant head of performance who will improve our ways of working and set us up for future success. This position is a six-month interim role covering maternity leave. It can be a consultant or fractional marketing leader, available as a full time or part time position.
The Head of Performance Marketing – Client will be responsible for managing the delivery of advertising campaigns and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our advertising operations. The role will work closely with our global teams to optimise campaigns, maximise ROI, supporting both our clients and our client teams.
Key accountabilities
Campaign Management & Optimisation

Manage end-to-end advertising campaign execution.

Partner with client stakeholders to define campaign goals and KPIs.

Oversee ongoing optimisation efforts, ensuring data-driven decisions to enhance performance.

Supervise A/B testing and other strategies to boost campaign effectiveness.

Ensure thorough quality assurance checks of creative assets and ad placements.

Manage the advertising operations budget, focusing on efficient spend and maximising ROI.
Team Management

Lead and manage high-performing teams based in London and Chennai.

Provide mentorship and professional development support to team members.
Client Engagement

Conduct regular meetings with key clients to share campaign updates and performance insights.

Address ad-hoc client requests promptly and effectively.

Deliver strategic recommendations to support client decision-making.

Educate clients on advertising best practices, trends, and their relevance to the student journey.
Commercial Growth

Contribute to client pitches and proposals, supporting partnership and success teams in meetings.

Review and approve client proposals, including statements of work and custom delivery plans.

Recommend and assist in developing new service offerings to improve advertising delivery.

Support initiatives aimed at client retention, satisfaction, and the broader growth of managed marketing services.
Required experience
Essential Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications):

Demonstrated experience in advertising delivery and/or digital marketing.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

In-depth understanding of digital advertising platforms, ad technology, and programmatic advertising.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both marketing and non-marketing stakeholders.

High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality assurance.
