Role purpose

Inviting Solution Architects who are passionate about designing solutions that make a global impact to join our team at IDP, and play a pivotal role in supporting IELTS, the most trusted English language testing system worldwide.

As a Solution Architect, you’ll be involved in the full spectrum of technology activities—from strategic planning to hands-on delivery—across a diverse and innovative landscape. You’ll collaborate with global teams and partners, including Cambridge University and the British Council, to create architectures that enable millions of learners to achieve their dreams.

This role is based in UK (Cambridge area preferred), flexible home-based role with occasional office visits and travel for meetings.

What you will do

• Design and deliver robust, scalable solutions aligned with our technology strategy.
• Drive innovation using AWS cloud services, modern software engineering, and event-driven architectures.
• Influence and collaborate across a unique partnership ecosystem.
• Mentor and uplift the architecture community, shaping best practices globally.

What we are looking for

• 6+ years in solution architecture with strong SaaS and cloud experience.
• Expertise in AWS, microservices, and integration patterns.
• A confident communicator who can translate tech into business value.
• A proactive problem-solver with a passion for continuous improvement.
