Role purpose
The Corporate Communications Specialist plays a key role in communicating IDP’s global story. This role will work across internal and external channels to help bring to life our strategy, our successes, our priorities and the stories of our global team.
This is a Full-time fixed term opportunity based out of Melbourne.
Internal and External Communications
Internal communications
Collaborate with business units and executives to tell our story to our people
Manage the internal communications content strategy and calendar
Own Viva Engage, our internal social platform
Lead the content drafting, production and reporting of our "It’s a wrap" newsletter
Own the implementation and coordination of the global leadership team town halls
Support projects to refresh IDP’s intranet and internal collaboration tools
Support communications programs that aim to integrate new businesses into our global team
Project manage and support teams with multimedia production, including pre- and post-production for internal teams and external channels
External communications
Work closely with our global network to source and support proactive communications
Support the corporate communications team with writing and editing the Annual Report copy
Support with writing and editing speeches for the Global Leadership Team and senior management
Implement a content strategy for proactive communications through B2B channels, including LinkedIn
Deliver proactive communications for product innovation and product launches
Become an expert in media monitoring services and support IDP teams to access this service
Support our People Experience team to share stories of our people with external audiences
Deliver communications support for key events such as the Australian International Education Conference (AIEC)
Ensure all communications align with IDP’s strategic communications narrative
People, Compliance, Media monitoring and reporting

Work with teams across the world to generate media releases and support them with internal and external communications
Contribute to building a positive work environment
Use awareness of own strengths and need to drive growth and development
Give honest and constructive feedback in dealings with colleagues and stakeholders
Compliance
Understand and respect IDP Education’s quality and compliance requirements in the management of marketing collateral, including contract management and privacy requirements
Media Monitoring and reporting
Lead the Corporate Communications Team’s quarterly report
Manage IDP’s media monitoring accounts for Meltwater Monitor and escalate reputational issues
Monitor and report on LinkedIn statistics
Share IDP and industry-wide media insights with key internal stakeholders
Required experience
Essential requirements (skills, knowledge experience & qualification):
Minimum five years of experience in journalism or communications
Proven ability to work well across teams and engage stakeholders for collaborative projects
Excellent written communication skills and copywriting for publications and websites
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and influence outcomes
Ability to make decisions and act with integrity
Desirable requirements (leadership & team/project capabilities):
Experience and knowledge in web analytics
Proven experience writing for senior leadership teams
Experience in web content development and managing social media
Experience in the international education industry
Experience in working for a complex global organisation
