Role purpose
At IDP, learning is a powerful enabler of performance, culture, and purpose. We’re looking for an experienced Learning Experience Design Lead to shape enterprise‑wide learning programs that engage our people, support strategic priorities, and create meaningful pathways for growth.
Reporting to the Group Manager, Organisation Development, this role plays a critical part in designing and delivering learning experiences across leadership, onboarding, functional capability, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
This is a Fixed Term Full time opportunity based out of our corporate office at Melbourne.
What you'll do
- Develop and lead the creation of innovative, learner-centred learning experiences that align tightly with IDP’s overarching people strategies and business goals.
- Collaborate extensively with key stakeholders to establish clear learning objectives, define success metrics, and set engagement milestones to measure and optimize impact.
- Transform intricate business challenges and requirements into accessible, effective learning solutions that emphasize practical application and learner engagement.
- Manage and oversee the delivery of learning programs through our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring a seamless, interactive, and enriching learner journey.
- Lead and inspire a remote team of Learning Experience and Graphic Designers based in our Chennai Digital Campus, fostering professional growth, innovation, and high-quality output.
- Advocate for and integrate emerging learning technologies, including virtual learning environments, e-learning innovations, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Ensure all learning content and experiences are designed responsively, promoting inclusivity, accessibility, and cultural awareness to serve a diverse global workforce.
What you'll bring
- Strong professional experience in Learning Experience Design, Learning & Development, or Capability Building within diverse, global organisations.
- Demonstrated track record of designing engaging, creative, and scalable learning programs tailored for varied learner profiles.
- Proficient hands-on experience with SuccessFactors Learning Suite and Articulate 360 tools, enabling effective program design and implementation.
- In-depth understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and how to apply them to practical learning experiences.
- Experience in leadership roles, including mentoring and managing learning design teams in both co-located and remote settings.
- Strong ability to build credible, collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders in complex, matrixed global environments.
- Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills that enable effective decision-making and problem-solving.
