Role purpose
Contribute to a critical transformation initiative at IDP
We invite applications for the role of Project Coordinator (PMO) to support the seamless delivery of our Back Office Modernisation Program, one of IDP’s most ambitious enterprise-wide transformations involving ERP implementation and operating model redesign.
As a core member of the Project Fusion PMO, this position will act as the linchpin coordinating efforts across multiple interconnected workstreams, including ERP, Data, Technology, Change Management, and Operating Model teams. Your role will revolve around fostering alignment of schedules, dependencies, governance processes, and critical deliverables to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
Collaborating closely with transformation leaders, internal stakeholders, and external vendors, you will provide comprehensive delivery assurance and maintain a transparent view of program progress to senior management.
This full-time fixed-term position is based at our corporate headquarters in Melbourne, offering a stimulating and supportive environment for professional growth within a major transformation context.
What you'll be doing
- Oversee and update integrated program schedules incorporating ERP, Data, Technology, Change Management, and Operating Model workstreams to maintain synchronized progress across all activities.
- Coordinate vital delivery milestones such as design sessions, iterative testing phases, cutover preparation, and go-live validation to ensure readiness and minimise risks.
- Drive the program’s governance framework including stage-gate reviews, approval processes, and decision-making protocols to maintain rigorous control over deliverables.
- Identify, monitor, and proactively manage risks, issues, actions, and dependencies (RAID) to support timely mitigation and escalation where necessary.
- Prepare and present high-quality reports and insightful delivery dashboards to senior leaders, enabling informed decision-making and transparent communication.
- Ensure all program deliverables comply with defined quality standards and that any discrepancies are addressed promptly before advancing through key milestones.
- Facilitate collaboration and information sharing amongst diverse teams, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the program.
We are looking for someone who
- Demonstrated experience in PMO, project coordination, or delivery assurance roles within complex, large-scale transformation programs, ideally involving multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proven background in supporting ERP implementations, shared services redesign, or business and technology transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to efficiently manage detailed schedules, priorities, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-evolving environment.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities, comfortable engaging with various internal and external partners to foster collaboration and alignment.
- Proven aptitude for juggling competing priorities without compromising attention to detail or program quality standards.
- Independent and proactive mindset, with a passion for introducing structure, control, and transparency to complex and multifaceted program delivery.
- Exemplary communication skills in English, enabling clear reporting, facilitation, and documentation across diverse audiences.
- Resilience and adaptability to navigate change, ambiguity, and challenges inherent in transformational environments.
