Role purpose
The Senior Business Analyst’s role will focus on supporting the discovery and analysis activity to deliver a digital customer experience that will assist in transforming IDP’s Student Placement business.
Responsible for liaising with Product Owners and technologists to form an end-to-end business capability model and exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the technology and product teams.
This is a fixed term full time contract for 8 months for a maternity cover with possibility of extension.
Business Analysis leadership

Proven hands-on experience and expertise in business analysis work

Ability to understand the objectives and goals of program and develop and own the connected business capability model for program leadership.

Ability to breakdown the BA Scope of Work into manageable work packages to support the overall delivery of the plan
-
Closely work with Program Leads to create and facilitate program workshops and deliver cross-program artefacts
-
Perform gap analysis and document the As-Is and To-Be states

Articulate product iterations and success criteria using Agile methodologies

Support the product teams to implement and deliver the right solutions
-
Build strong relationships with key decision makers and Subject Matter Experts across IDP
-
Detail Oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
Technical Competence

Scope and document requirements: Ability to understand, capture and model functional, non-functional (operational) and interface requirements for users of a system.

Designing and enhancing Business Processes: Ability to create maps (or models) of workflows, services design and customer journeys for the business, organisation, system or software. Documenting behaviour models using use cases, user experience design, storyboards, user profiles and user stories.

Solution assessment and validation: Ability to undertake quality initiatives and measure them with the right metrics. Be able to develop meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs)

Testing: exposure to undertaking UAT (user acceptance testing) on behalf of the business not IT.

Training & Communications: Work with program manager, learning and comms team where required and provide relevant documentation.

Digital Capability: Having had experience in, or capability to, enable customer experiences through the use of digital technologies through placing the customer at the centre of everything we do.

Clearly articulates decisions required and options available to facilitate rapid decision making

Required experience

Minimum 5+ years of work experience as a BA required in Software development projects

Industry certification in Business Analysis like CBAP, Agile business analysis etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

High attention to detail and great work ethics which encourages accuracy

Involvement in digital transformation or multi-system integration project
-
High level of computer user ability, including Ms Word, Ms Visio, Ms Excel, Ms Power Point, Outlook, MS Teams, Confluence and JIRA

Must have strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Must have the ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and a strong team player

Desirable:

Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related fields

Agile and/or SAFe experience/certified

Experience with AI
