Role purpose

As a Senior Business Assurance Analyst at IDP, you will play a crucial role in advancing the quality and assurance standards within our Student Placement operations. This position offers the opportunity to influence how we approach assurance frameworks, ensuring our processes meet rigorous standards and support the integrity and effectiveness of our services.

This is a full time permanent opportunity based out of Melbourne. In this role you will collaborate closely with global leaders and cross-functional teams, designing and implementing scalable quality and assurance frameworks that foster consistency and transparency throughout our operations. Your analytical expertise and ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels will be key in driving forward sustainable improvements and enhancing our assurance maturity.

What you'll do

  • Evolve, enhance, and embed the Student Placement Quality & Business Assurance Framework to ensure alignment with organisational goals and regulatory expectations.
  • Design and implement practical, scalable metrics, controls, and comprehensive end-to-end assurance models that enable visibility and control over operational risks.
  • Interpret and translate complex regulatory requirements such as AQF, ESOS, and ISO 9001:2015 into straightforward, actionable checkpoints and business processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to map, streamline, and simplify assurance processes, reducing duplication, and fostering operational alignment across regions.
  • Analyse audit outcomes and business insights to inform continuous process improvements and uplift the overall quality and assurance maturity of the organisation.
  • Build strong partnerships and influence a broad range of stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Product, Regional teams, and Internal Audit to embed a culture of quality and risk awareness.
  • Support initiatives related to quality embedment, risk visibility enhancement, audit readiness preparation, and continuous improvement projects to maintain high standards in business assurance.
  • Champion innovative assurance practices and contribute to strategic projects that enhance risk management and quality assurance frameworks on a global scale.

What you bring

You bring experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Assurance Analyst, demonstrating a history of uplifting quality, assurance, control, or audit environments to achieve lasting improvements and operational excellence.

  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing practical, scalable frameworks and controls within complex organisational settings.
  • Strong partnership skills with operational teams, enabling the simplification and optimisation of assurance-related processes.
  • Experience translating intricate regulatory requirements into clear, workable business practices and quality assurance checkpoints.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence within complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Background working within global or multi-regional operating models is advantageous, providing an understanding of diverse compliance landscapes and business cultures.

You are a proactive, analytical thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement. Your communication skills enable you to clearly articulate complex concepts and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
