Role purpose
Inviting applications for a Senior Strategic Procurement Manager, Corporate Services to join our centralised procurement leadership team. An opportunity to be an integral part of our journey to transform procurement into a truly strategic and integrated function, delivering long-term value across our global organization.
In this pivotal position, reporting to the Group Head of Corporate and Technology Procurement, you will lead and develop comprehensive Category Management plans for critical Corporate Services driving value across Marketing, Travel, Credit Card, Professional Services, Legal, Finance, Facilities, and People Experience – advising on procurement activities to optimise total cost of ownership while ensuring continuous value for money and exceptional contract performance.
A challenging full time permanent role based out of Melbourne, reporting to the Global Head of Corporate and Technology Procurement.

What you'll do
- Design, implement, and execute enterprise-wide procurement initiatives and strategies for the Corporate Services category.
- Shape the long-term procurement pipeline, aligning directly with IDP's business strategy and objectives.
- Lead high-value, complex negotiations, securing optimal outcomes and fostering strategic supplier relationships that unlock enduring value.
- Forge strong relationships with business units, global leadership directors, and even the C-suite, ensuring buy-in and seamless resolution of procurement needs.
- Drive significant improvements in procurement category performance globally, leveraging best practices to deliver substantial cost savings and value.
- Provide expert commercial advice and innovative input to sourcing strategies, ensuring IDP achieves maximum benefits and value for money.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for high-value, high-risk sourcing events, upholding our robust Procurement Policy.
To excel in this role, you'll bring
- Extensive end-to-end procurement experience, specifically with exposure to the Corporate Service category, market-leading commercial models, and supplier market trends.
- Proven technical expertise, commercial acumen, and strong leadership skills to drive impact and achieve successful outcomes for IDP.
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance across the full spectrum of procurement activities, from planning to execution.
- A track record of collaborating with C-suite executives and Senior Management to develop and align Category strategies with business goals.
- Excellent people leadership skills, with proven experience delivering procurement services in a cost-conscious environment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement frameworks, probity requirements, and best practices.
- Extensive experience in the development, creation, and execution of Category Management strategies with measurable and achievable benefits aligned to business needs.
Desirable
- A tertiary qualification, preferably an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business, or Law with Procurement disciplines, is highly desirable.
