Role purpose

Social Media Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with IDP’s domestic marketing objectives.
  • Identify target audiences, trends, and best practices to increase engagement and brand visibility.

Content Creation and Management

  • Contribute to the creation of compelling content, schedule and publish content (text, graphics, videos, etc.) across social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Work closely with the design team to create visually appealing assets.
  • Ensure all content aligns with IDP’s brand tone, voice, and guidelines.

 Campaign Execution

  • Plan and execute organic social media campaigns to promote key marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights for improvement.

 Community Engagement

  • Manage and engage with social media communities by responding to comments, messages, and queries promptly.
  • Foster relationships with influencers, partners, and key stakeholders to amplify the brand’s reach.

  • Lead social media engagement campaigns
  • Drive strategic audience growth across Instagram & TikTok
  • Grow brand engagement for WU & CUG
  • Increase social media-generated leads
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage influencer and partnership campaigns

Required experience

  • Proven experience (3+ years) managing social media platforms and campaigns in a similar role, ideally within the education, tech or services sector. 
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to craft engaging content tailored to different platforms.
  • Experience with social media management tools (eg Hootsuite, Spout Social or Buffer)
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools (eg native social media insights or similar).
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic design and video editing skills using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar
  • Experience working with brand ambassadors or influencers
  • Understanding of SEO principles and how social media contributes to SEO
  • Exceptional team player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Capable of working collaboratively and independently.
