Role purpose
The Course Counsellor is responsible for providing excellent customer service and carrying out day to day administrative and sales tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
Key accountabilities
- Customer service/ Business acumen
• Introduce IELTS Course information to clients.
• Follow-up with prospective students by telephone, email and text.
• Make appointments with students to visit the school, attend seminars, observe lessons, pay tuition fees, etc
• Introduce the school, courses and special offers to prospective students and visitors. Follow the sales process set by the existing team.
• Register students for the IELTS test. Collect fees and provide receipts .
• Represent IDP IELTS at various exhibitions.
• Collect testimonials from students.
• Administer mock tests.
• Contact students to confirm places for seminars by phone, email and text.
• Arrange for students to join observation lessons.
- Technical & professional knowledge
• Ensure all administration is up to date (student records, class schedules, student payments, etc)
• Schedule student for placement tests.
• Manage the in-house lending library.
-Good teamwork
• Discuss student situations/needs with teachers.
• Work with SP department to share student information between departments.
• Brainstorm campaign/marketing ideas with team members.
Required experience
• Professional customer service
• Experienced in sales of English training is a plus
• Ability to work in a small team
• Strong administrative skills
• Good people/communication skills
• Computer literacy
